How Lunir & Co started
Lunir & Co didn’t start as a business.
It started as something to keep me distracted.
At the time, I was dealing with ongoing health issues, and mentally it was a lot. Not just the physical side of it, but everything that comes with it — the frustration, the exhaustion, the constant feeling of things being a bit out of your control. I needed something to focus on that wasn’t that.
So I started making things.
Nothing serious at first. Just bath soaks, skincare, little bits and pieces. It gave me something to do, something to focus on, and honestly, something that made me feel a little bit like myself again on the days that didn’t feel great.
Life
I’m a mum of five, so life has never exactly been quiet or slow. I moved from New Zealand to Brisbane in 2017 to build a better life for my kids, and like most mums, I’ve always just kept things moving. Full-time work, kids, routines, everything that comes with it. I work in recruitment full time, which I genuinely love — although I still don’t know if it’s the job itself or just the fact I’m good at it. It’s probably my team, if I’m honest. They make it what it is.
Lunir became something different.
It started as a way to switch off from everything else — and then slowly turned into something I looked forward to.
Something that felt like mine.
I’ve always been into creating. Anything digital, building things, bringing ideas to life — that’s always been my thing. This just became another outlet for that, but one that actually meant something.
(Unlike cooking… which I used to love. But after making dinner every night for over 25 years, I’m well and truly over it.)
I try to be healthy… but I also love chocolate, so it’s all about balance.
What I started to realise through all of this was how much small routines actually matter. Not the big, unrealistic “perfect self care” routines — just the small things. A bath at the end of the day. Taking ten minutes to yourself. Using products that feel good without being complicated.
That’s what Lunir & Co is built on now.
Simple, thoughtful products that people can actually use in real life. Not overwhelming, not overdone — just things that fit into your day and make it feel a little bit better.
The gift boxes came from that too. Because sometimes people don’t just need a product — they need a moment. And sometimes the easiest way to give that is to put it together for them.
What started as a distraction during a hard time has turned into something so much bigger than I expected.
It’s still something I come back to when I need it — but now it’s also something I get to share with other people who need that same pause, that same reset, even if it’s just for a few minutes.
And that’s what makes it matter.
So Welcome to Lunir & Co
I hope you love it as much as I do....
